Description

Robbert Van Ingen studied design and painting in London at Camberwell College of Arts. He graduated in 2000 and has since then pursued his career as a designer and independent artist in London, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Robbert and his team of designers are the creative force behind Muy Pop Bubble Factory.

Robbert's work follows the tradition of hard-edge colour field painting from the sixties. He applies a great variety of industrial paints, acrylics, oils or enamels on aluminium or wood to create refined textures and combinations of colour fields. In his approach colours are key to convey a specific feeling or emotion relating to the subject of the painting. His subject matter consists of elements of urban and natural landscapes which he encounters during his travels.
